HERE IT IS!

We apologize for the huge delay for posting this show, it's just that B-Unit & I have been totally engulfed in life since graduation. The day-to-day grind is real, we promise you!

In the meantime, please enjoy our farewell show. It is completely impossible to describe how much of an awesome time we had during this last show, and the last four and a half years. Your support has meant so much to us, and we had a blast supporting all the talent we've had on the show.

A big thank you goes out to all the people in this show -- we had a great turn out that night, and had an impromptu party in the KSSU.com lobby. We couldn't have wanted it any other way.

This is not the end for me and B-Unit, just a stepping stone to what's next. We're working hard to try and get to where we want to be next. Mi gente!

If you haven't noticed yet, the Sac State Sunset has ended it's run on KSSU.com After five years in syndication, B-Unit and I both agreed it would be best to "put the baby to bed" and end the show since both are now graduates of Sac State. We're contemplating our next move. We both want to keep progressing in the broadcasting world, and we're trying to come up with a decision as to what we should do next. Whatever it is, it is going to be a step forward.

We want to thank everyone who has been supporting the show - whether five years ago or in the last year or two. B-Unit and I truly appreciate your support all of you.

For now, we have just about every show in the last two years recorded - I think we will try uploading some random ones and promote them for people to listen to as "flashback" episodes. This includes our "Throwback Thursday" series, as well as our "Puro Reggaeton" episodes.

I'm also working on a "Best of 2010" podcast, which will have our favorite and funniest segments and interviews from the past year.

OUR FAREWELL PODCAST IS COMING VERY SOON - By the end of this week, if I'm not mistaken...

We're trying to keep the podcasts going on a weekly basis...they are a little behind the live schedule, but we're putting a new one up each week.

On this episode, Tha Kid Spiff co-hosts with us during the first hour, where B-Unit talks about her dangerous apartment next to a liquor store in North Highlands...

We have a caller named Peter who's been calling in every week so far and provoking us to do re-enactments of movies, celebrities, and other off-the-wall scenarios. This week, we do a movie trailer for "Devil's Lake," starring Beyonce, Denzel Washington, and more! We think you'll find this funny...

Then, hip-hop artist and multi-media entrepeneur Status Goes was in the studio with his homie Young Dre-Go, and he had numerous ridiculous stories to tell us about performing live, in the studio, and what inspires him to write and shoot the music videos he does.

Oh yeah, we have an on-going discussion with listeners about the most ridiculous names we've ever heard of...

And of course, plenty of new music by Tha Kid Spiff, Status Goes, and Young Dre-Go.

This episode is packed with surprise guests. B-Unit had the night off, so joining me during the first hour was Dave Icarangal of www.TianaVega.com (clothing designer) and longtime friend of the show, TNT!

In the first hour, we talked projects, lyrics, and Dave even delivered some spoken word live on air.

At 9, Mahtie Bush came in for an Interviewation, and that's where things got funny. Mahtie and I talked about what people are thinking inside their heads when they see Mahtie walk into a club, as opposed to when I walk in. We also discussed what's wrong with the town of Davis. We also featured three of his latest songs.

I'm gonna keep it short and sweet -

WE'RE BACK! Due to server upgrades on campus, our streaming capabilities at KSSU.com were down for the entire month of August and we were FORCED to not have a show.

But now, we're at it again, READY to wrap up our last semester on Sac State's airwaves! If you haven't yet, please find us on MySpace, Twitter and now FACEBOOK! If you search for us on any of those sites, or better yet just google "The Sac State Sunset," you'll be able to find us and "like" us, "follow" us, or whatever the hell else it is that you can do to us online! haha

It's looking like December 2010 will be the last month with the show because I (dub v) will be graduating! B-Unit graduated last semester, and sad to say, our college experience is slowly coming to a close... but don't worry, we have other things brewing...

In this episode, B-Unit and I play catch up for us and all the listeners - many many things have happened to us this summer, most of them funny (well, at least for me, tragically).

We completely apologize (and by "we," I mean ME) for not updating the podcasts this past month.

The truth is, B-Unit and I have had next to NO free time to dedicate to the extra elements of the show.

B-Unit has ran herself into the ground so much that she's contracted pneumonia. -- That's NOT a joke either. When we say this semester has been really intense for us, we mean it.

MI GENTE - This show is FULL of content!!

B-Unit was in the building for the full first hour of the show, and gave a great "B's Bus Stop" story. causing a car wreck? you have to listen to find out!

at 8:30, R&B artist Terin from The Jump Off School Tour stopped in to talk about his latest music and his part in the school tour. We played one of his tracks, and P-Funk, coordinator of the tour, talked about which schools they will be stopping at, how to find them on the net, and how to get them to come to your school.

When 9PM hit, Meiko was ready for the interviewation. An up-and-coming artist from Oak Park, Sacramento, Meiko is an integral part of the "We Major" family - a promotions/productions/phenom street team lead by Captain TNT (remember him?).

Aside from taking numerous phone calls, we played two of Meiko's most recent and illest cuts on the show. Trust me, these are tracks you're gonna wanna bump in your car!
