DAYUM – already the last Thursday in April? NO MANCHES MI GENTE!!
It’s me, dub v, throwin down a quick recap to the show from April 24th.
The nite started out legitimately enough – fresh cuts, tu sabation!
I didn’t have any movie passes to give away this week, so I gave away a date with myself…You gotta catch the podcast to find out who “won me.”
Kickin off the nite as RAWKEE!, who called in on the road to California from Lousiana.
Currently, Rawkee is in Missippi, which I think is somehow a decrease in pace…like, in the opposite direction from California!
Rawkee’s new friend Jasper gave him a harmonica, and he’s been practicing on it ever since…Rawkee actually gave us a lil taste of a song he’s been working on…RIDICULOUS! You gotta play the podcast to hear it & believe it!
Dub V: “Rawkee, how long did it take you to write that?” Rawkee: “Now Dub V, you know I can’t write!” …and Rawkee’s Roadtrip continues on! Stay tuned next week to see where he calls in from…
B-Unit came in with the wind a lil late…She was all outta breath after rushin like a mad-woman to get to the studio from the gas station!
Startin off B-Unit’s Sports Report was the news that Men’s Basketball at CSUS is getting a new head-coach – Brian Katz. So why not throw in a few new players on the team to put the icing on the cake?? Antonio Flags and Aaron Wilson with both be part of the fam-bam this Fall at Sac State! B-Unit and I decided that every time we got a phone call for the rest of the night, our status would go up 1000 points. (what kind of status? We’re not exactly sure, we just know it gets cooler in the studio every 1000 times! Haha)
And RIGHT after that statement was made, we did receive a phone call (damn, that was fast).
Much to our surprise, it was Lizzy, who was listening and watching us in Dub V TV.
Lizzy did win a date with me! B-Unit filled us in on the details of this “prize.”
She said that the competition was fierce…I begged to differ. Lol

Next up was GRIZZ, delivering world-class gossip. Amy Winehouse has been arrested for bitch-slapping people out in public…Lindsay Lohan is getting sued…she’s loose. I know for a fact – she tried to get up on me back in the day while she was filming Freak Friday. I was working on the set with the producers…Hit up the podcast and listen to it yourself…

After the song break, we had our newest favorite foreign caller Krause from “Strudeldangingischeldorf.” He loves the Reggaeton and Grizz’s gossip!
Krause said that his relationship with David Hasselhoff has ended because he brought nipple clamps to his house one time…hmm, we’re gonna try not to judge right here…
But Krause assured us “that is the cornerstone to most great love stories, yeah?”

Right after that, Hank Hill, from King of The Hill called in to check the status of our propane tank in the studio…what the F?! you better peek the podcast to believe this one!
Jackie the BOSS called in to say she was vibin’ on her computer…digging us, but said she’s already tired of the rap artist “The Dream.”
RIGHT after that, B-Unit’s lil bro Daniel called in to defend himself against his big sis B-Unit. Shout-out to Daniel for benching 115 TWICE that day! Atta boy! He’s on his way.
Daniel holds it down at his high school where he can’t keep the females off him!
Shortly after, the “Russian Pleasure Seeker” a.k.a Double D called in to tell us how Multi-Cultural Night went…She also talked about how she gets down and dirty in the club…hit up the podcast to hear the whole call.
Right after THAT, Deanna Sublaban called in to show some BIG love!
She is my #1 home girl outta Stockton! She gave us a lil rundown of her life…If you know Deanna personally, this is CLASSIC Sublaban in her prime! And if you don’t know “D-Unit”, now is your chance to get to know the legend! MUCH LOVE TO YOU D-UNIT!!!

Another week, another kick-ass show mi gente!
It’s dub v, throwin down the show recap for April 17th, 2008.
First of all, GRIZZ the Gossip Girl was in the studio all the way live!
This hasn’t happened in over a year!
“what’s up, dub?” was the way Grizz greeted me.
Grizz informed me that she used to go to school with one of the fellas from 3 Stackz back in the day at Manteca High School….WORD!
After talking a lil trash about Club Flamingo (yeah, the one in Stockton), I informed Grizz that it did actually get shut down. So long to all the drugs in the bathrooms, and knife-stabbings on the dancefloor….
Big Red Eye in The Sky called in to give us an award-winning traffic report. He’s a retired flight instructor who was looking for something to do, so we gave him a job reporting traffic for the Sac State Sunset. Check out the podcast for the full traffic report.
According to Big Red, a semi-truck “floppled” over and crushed a dog on 65th street. LUCKILY, B-Unit Rossman arrived early, and beat the traffic! Haha
Then at 8:30, B-Unit threw down the Sports Report! For Sac State track & field, Renetia Robinson was named the Big Sky Conference Athlete of the Week. PROPS! My publicist and #1 fan Ashley-Ash stepped into the studio to inform me of my weekend agenda. She gets me public appearances, meet-n-greets, tu sabation…Well, I didn’t quite get to work the charity event with Angelina Jolie, but Ashley-Ash did score me a carwash at the McDonalds on Power Inn Road, Sacramento. SWEET! I just had to show up too, no car-washing necessary. Damn, I should pay her more…
Shifting gears, we thought we’d try to mix it up on our callers….we changed the music and our “tones” to field a phone call…you gotta listen to the podcast to HEAR this one, cuz words just don’t do a good enough job!
“Vince, you’re off the hook.” went Miss Jackie the Boss. She was driving back to Tracy to see the fam-bam, and called in to say hey, and throw down the love. **dub v’s real name does consist of something like “Vince…”
Jackie, Grizz, AND B-Unit gave me hell for mixin up a Modesto club with a club from the bay. DAYUM, ok, so I’ve never been to either. Take it easy ladies! 8?P
After a song break, Henry from Arizona called in to give us an update on his life.
“I cannot pay my tips with freakin Jesus-cards” – says Henry.
He has been having ex-girlfriends issues, and he needed something to pump him up. So we got it on for him! DON’T BE STRESSIN ON THAT EX HENRY!
“Holler.” – Henry.
We were getting attacked by a mosquito in the studio. We don’t act that way here!

One Word mi gente: ANGELACE!
That’s right, the lovely ladies (two thirds of them!), that make the R&B Group AngelACE was in the studio this night…don’t worry; we’ll get to them a lil later…
Kickin the show off was homie Ivan, who was listening to the show while getting ready to go out to dinner. He wanted to here some SEXI MOVIMIENTO…so you know what? I played some Wisin y Yandel. YA TU SABATION!
After a few songs, my publicist (remember her from last week?!) called in to remind me of my weekend activities and appearances…That’s right, Miss Ashley-Ash herself booked me in “the Charity Put-Put Tournament on the Golf Course off Interstate 80…” I dunno, I guess it was a charity for school kids and books…I don’t even remember. I did make a hole-in-one at the windmill round, and I scored a free plate of nachos. YES. Thanks for to all the kids at Arcadia Middle School for showin me love at the mini-golf tournament!
Right after that, B-Unit strolled on in the studio….She was surprised and very grateful! We christened the new headphones with a second of silence.
Before we could slide in another song, Jackie the Boss called in to throw it down one time. As usual, she called to give us love while cleaning her apartment! B-Unit and I informed her that we also double as Dr. Phil & Oprah… Dr. Dub & The B! FEEL ME!?!
Jackie the Boss deemed B-Unit “In-cog-negro” for not showing her face around school enough. CRAZY, right?!
**Pardon the lil Commercial interruption/mishap** one day we will show you all the technological doo-rods and chingaderas that are in the studio…it takes a lightweight pro to work it all! I be almost there!**
Droppin the sports report, B-Unit started off with Tennis. 44-ranked Sac State Women’s Tennis took 3 singles matches to the super-tie-break but ended up losing 7-0 to 3rd ranked Standford. We played a hard match tho! YEE!

An ecstatic Natasha called in on her drive home from the Nuggets/Warriors NBA basketball game. Nuggest won 112-105.
Just to update you: Natasha is Allen Iverson’s #1 fan and future wife.
Right after that, Natasha and B-Unit’s brother Jeremy threw down a lil debate about the game and Allen Iverson.
Natasha: “I got to take a picture and TOUCH ALLEN IVERSON’S SHOE!”
Haha for real tho! You gotta hit up the podcast… then her call kinda..well, dropped.
Jeremy: “I can’t hear you. Your huck-phone is breaking up.”
So we had a call like 30 seconds later…and it wasn’t Grizz with the gossip just yet, but NATASHA, calling back to finish her rant. Haha WHO DOES THAT?! Anywho, we loved it nonetheless!

BACK to AngelACE, Ella and Angel-Lee were in the studio and told us about who they are, how they got started, and their current projects.
In the interview, AngelACE told that they write all their own songs, come from a very musical family, and even their big bro sings!
Throughout the interview, we played songs from their latest/current
CD titled “Now & Then.”
One of our international callers, Krause, called in to compliment the girls on their music! He also called to talk a lil bit about David Hasselhoff. He also gave me, Angel-Lee, and Ella a lesson in German…You gotta listen to the podcast for the call!
AngelACE revealed that they do their own dances moves with the help of friends who are pro-style choreographers! SO LEGIT!

SPRING BREAK!
Si, mi gente, I did a show during Spring Break! I try and stay boss-status I guess…
B-Unit had the week off to go on vacation with the fam-bam, but you know I still light-weight worked it out!!
We had a first tonight on the show, we enlisted “Big Red Eye in The Sky, with the traffic report that will get you out of a pickle, but won’t tickle.”
Big Red gave us a colorful traffic report covering all over the main highways and byways of Sacramento. PEEK THE PODCAST to see how it went down!
Then, I threw down the sports report for B-UNIT, who was out of town with her family, handling some business.
The Sac State women’s program currently sits in First Place out of 9 in the Big Sky Conference! Golf, Tennis, and Outdoor Track & Field are left to be determined just how bad ass the CSUS athletic women’s program can be…
5 home runs helped Sac State Baseball beat the Fresno Bulldogs 17-2. DAYUM!

African Goddess Hozana called in to request a song and win her some passes! She made me feel so good and asked to hear Sean Paul & Sasha “I’m Still in Love.” So I got it on for her! “YAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” ß that equals RAWKEE!
He called in to tell us that he and his large wife Beverleen got in a huge fight, and he’s deciding to leave her! I suppose it comes after many different problems…
Basically, Rawkee announced he is planning to hitch-hike all the way to California. Keep an eye and an ear out for “Rawkee’s Roadtrip!” He’ll be coming to Sacramento, California eventually…..right?
Later, Grizz the Gossip called in while on the road back from Manteca…Mariah Carey has successfully (and unfortunately, to me at least) has surpassed Elvis Presley in #1 singels….please! me and Grizz trash-talked how she never looks any different, no different videos, her hair and bathrobe is always blowing, she always touches her shoulders in a bra next to a “nerdy” guy…frill? BOO!
We briefly talked about how lame “Diddy’s” career is….Grizz: “He’s in the armpit of the world right now.”

After the gossip, my first hair stylist, FELY, called in to say what’s up, request a song, and promote lil business…she braids hair! She’s the one who keeps me lookin so fly! For real tho!
Later, la mujer mas linda, MARIBEL, called in from Chico, California so say “hi!”
She is “busy getting ready for the baby.” … that’s right – Maribel is having a baby sometime THIS MONTH! (April). She just wanted to voice her support, even all the way out there in Chico!
GOOD LUCK WITH THE BABY BOY – DUE LATE APRIL! FELICIDADES MARIBEL!
For the last part of the show, my personal publicist and my #1 fan Ash-ley-ash was in studio to talk about what it’s like working for me.
We talked about how 13 people came out to my meet-and-greet at the Home Depot in Elk Grove. The fan base is growing mi gente!! Lol
I have Ashley to thank for that! (I only wish I paid you enough….or somethin like that)

Rounding out the hour was Felix, saying “what’s up to all the S-L-U-Traximillions in Sacramento!” He called to say Rooster’s face looks like a big tomato.

Spreading the naughtiness, Double D told us how midterms were stressing her out….she said she got a ‘D’ her last English test! She’s getting there!

GRIZZ the Gossip Girl lit up the phone line next to deliver the latest filth from filthy “tinsel town.” — Grizz got kicked outta the club last week! Frill tho! Listen to the podcast for the story…it involves “the booty contest.”
Rumor has it that Fergie-Ferg is pregnant with Nelly’s baby….whaaaaaat?!
Angelina Jolie was in Texas – but NOT looking for babies, cuz “she only works her magic in the third world,” said B-Unit…Brad Pitt is actually doing a movie out there, so she was visiting…..all six babies in hand!
Did Oprah used to have a little something-something with Brad Pitt’s daddy? Is that how Obama and Brad Pitt could be related?! Haha à hit the podcast up to hear the rest of the dish!
Reese Witherspoon is the highest paying actress?!?!? PODCAST IT!
After Grizz let the gossip fly, Donald, a.k.a. “Mr. Handsome,” a.k.a B-Unit’s Man called in to say what up! He was handling business, won some movie passes, and had a “couple’s moment” with B-Unit on the air……lol, you gotta catch it on the podcast!
Strutchgotzstrudelmunch’s anal-retentive but happy citizen Krause called in to talk about his spring break…He unfortunately (but comicly enough) told us that he’s been a lot happier since starting Prozac medications…and he also told us how his love letter to David Hasselhoff went…”Deutchland is the land of chocolate!” it only got nuttier from there … hit up the podcast to hear the whole call!
Good friend and fellow KSSU staffer DJ M called in to say “are you serious?! Who is this guy that you just had on?!?!” DJ M said he just got back from the gym and tuned in to hear Krause and all his insanity. DJ M was dumbfounded by Krause! Haha

Then, my #1 Fan and agent/publicist Ashley-Ash called in to brief me of my weekend…”Tomorrow @ 7PM you have an autograph signing at the Home Depot off Intestate 5.” ß just a lil taste. She keeps my life on track! For real tho! Listen to the podcast for the full effect!
The callers kept flowing in, and they continued with Taysha-Taysha-Tasha. She called in to say she was chillin outside of the Union at Sac State sportin her Nordtrom Rack’s jacket. She was lightweight stressing B-Unit to hurry up and get outta the studio! Cuz Tasha was ready to get the rest of the nite started!
After the song-break, things got even more amped up with caller Miss Jackie, the Boss!
She just called in to give us some love – and we give it right back Jackie!
Not 10 seconds after that, the world-famous Rooster called in to tickle our ears. Rooster replied to Grizz’s comment about Rooster’s on-air presence, or lack their of: “First it’s: ‘I’m calling in too much, and acting stupid,’ now it’s ‘I’m not calling enough. What is this?!” it got even “cherrier” with Rooster….just hit the podcast already.
FINALLY, to cap-off the show was a “long-time listener, first-time caller” named Jeremy. He was promoting “whatitis..com!” right after that, it got outta control!
Jeremy claimed to be a huge fan of the show, while B-Unit thought otherwise…a heated debate continued, and somehow basketball players got involved…Jeremy does it big all day everyday on the phone — he got that voyager mayne! Feel it!

What’s good mi gente?!
March has flown by faster than an airforce jet, but we’ve had an influx of new music, only a LIL bit of it I gave to you in this show.
All in all, it was a more chill-of-a-show than usual.

I talked about witnessing my first bicycle/Cadillac accident in downtown Sacramento, CA, USA this week…A guy on a bicycle was pedaling too fast, and a business man was late for a meeting or something and BAM –CHOKARRON! They hit each other. Listen to the podcast for the full story.

Finally, our first caller hit us up with “Did I win?”
Evan from Jackson called to win our 21 movie request – a deck of cards, a book about the movie, and free passes to go see the movie “21.” Shout-out to Evan for supporting the Sac State Sunset!
Next up was GRIZZ the Gossip Girl – first up, we talked about how to go about “getting at” Grizz. A simple friend request isn’t enough – you gotta make EFFORT and COMMITMENT!
Amy Winehouse – her booksales aren’t the only thing looking ugly – her face is a mess too. She’s got a terrible case of MRSA (a very severe staff infection). Grizz found out that she has ring-worms…the makeup can’t hide it! Listen to me explain to grizz what MRSA is exactly…let’s just say it can spread to your entire body.
Britney Spears’ dad is selling over half her cars – thanks for saving the environment, not to mention the citizens of Los Angeles.
Michael Jackson’s pets had to leave the “ranch” … all the giraffes, penguins, etc. He also still gets to mess up children for life.

Before Grizz left us, she wanted to do an “Amber Alert” for her best friend, Bossy B Vanessa. We did it all breaking-news like…Has Bossy B*tch Vanessa been found? Hit up www.myspace.com/itzthegrizz and ask Grizz herself!
After a quick song-break, B-UNIT Rossman had to do her sports report over the phone in the car. She was rollin with Mom-Dukes (her mother!) after her game, doin a lil family bonding.
B-Unit started off with softball – took their first win of 8-6, and their second win 5-1 against Compton on Friday…that puts them at 15-11 overall.
Baseball – the hornets upset the #12 ranked Cal-Berkeley with a score of 12-6. We ain’t even ranked! So we tryin to keep it all the way on point in baseball!
In National Sports, the 76ers played the Nuggets in basketball – Denver lost 113-115.

Then my #1 homie Oscar called in to say what’s up and make a song request – “Ella y Yo” by Don Omar. “THANK YOU SIR!” haha! Oscar also gave a lil Spanish-style shout-out for the show!
Jackie the Boss called in to make me feel good – she was takin her newspaper staff out to go bowling and she called in to say what up!

To round off the show, was Watsonville’s Citizen of the Year – ROOSTER.
Dub V: “Rooster, are you there?”
Rooster: “I believe so.”
He talked about how pansy-ass P.B. High School is in Watsonville. The talent show sucked, he says. “The point is, my little brother came out in the talent show as the MC…let’s just put it this way – it’s kinda hard for my ‘coolness’ to rub off on me.”
Rooster’s little brother is just “The Egg.”
From there, Rooster & I turned the “talent show” into a breaking news story…the ridiculousness ensues…. Rooster: “girls were floppin all over the place here, Chuck!”
After Rooster finished giving us the full 411 on his life, we had to part ways….He might be making a bigger “impact” in the upcoming shows…
